An enthusiastic Tribologist, Doug joined Swifts in March 1986 to develop the company's lubricants division. The division's product range has since grown from a single product back then to a comprehensive range of over 180 specialised aerosols and greases.

Doug's career started with Sarmcol, but his passion for lubrication was ignited when he joined used oil re-refining company, Cera Oil, in 1968. He is known for his problem-solving abilities and loves to tackle a difficult lubrication-related problem that requires devising and manufacturing an appropriate solution.

Doug's wide range of diverse interests includes Physics, Chemistry, Yellow Clivias and Astronomy.
